Meet The Therapist

imageMay 15th 2009 - this was when Maryellen decided to make a change in her life and commit herself to sharing her gift of healing touch. She began at the Newington campus of the Connecticut Center For Massage Therapy where she learned much about herself and how to meet others needs through the wonderful properties of massage therapy. There is where she also decided to explore the realm of healing through energy work and Reiki.

Graduating in December of 2010 and attaining a CT State license to practice in March 2011, Maryellen was determined to begin her own business; reaching out into the community utilizing her skills on chair massage she volunteered at health fairs and was a subcontracted therapist for numersous hair/beauty salons and spas throughout the state. Taking her linens "on the road" and gaining clients along the way enabled her to slip into an easy pace with the sole purpose of helping others realize their own healing potential and be a simple guide to reinforce this concept. The body, mind and spirit all require nourishment and stimulation in order to be in balance. Her wide range of modalities include a firm Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Touch, Prayer Healing and Acupressure.

In private practice since 2011, Maryellen remains passionate about her purpose in her client's lives. A lover of nature and an avid poet, she spends most of her free time walking on paths beside rivers, taking hikes in the snow with her two children and listening to John Denver and Earth Wind and Fire on Spotify. She also has a great admiration for photography and takes photographs wherever she goes. All of the photographs on this website are her own originals.

Her bucket list includes swimming with Beluga Whales, hearing her voice echo in the Grand Canyon and visiting the house where Elvis Presley was raised.
